playing tourists in our own city
We were off to the grand opening of the new 606, Chicago’s trail and elevated park system. While we were mostly dodging bikers, rollerbladers and joggers, the kids loved it. It is an infusion of the NYC’s Highline set ever so nicely in Chicago’s Bucktown neighborhood stretching over the Northwest side. It was a gorgeous 70 degree day that demanded a comfy dress and light jacket. Is there anything better than sunny weekends? I think Chicago deserves one. Excuse me while I get back to the chicken on the grill and making Reid a much deserved iced coffee after painting our weather worn patio furniture. Only a project we’ve wanted to do for three years and counting. Ha!
Happy Saturday everyone . . . goooooo Blackhawks!!
