Even though my jeans are looking more off-white these days, I’m making the case for white monochrome. And besides the fact that I drop ketchup and chocolate on myself most days, (I’m worse than my kids), all white really is as chic as it gets. Its flattering and like black, looks best when its done in monochrome with a side of sneaker and a leather jacket. You know, to keep you looking put together between the soccer practice and doctor visits.

Life is too short not to know about ASOS under $50 scores. I mean, SO GOOD. Tip: If you’re unsure about sizing, order both. You can easily return the one that doesn’t fit since there is free shipping both ways. My mailman is sweet enough to take my returns or I pack the kids in the car and drive to our post office a couple blocks away. Either way, it’s pretty easy!

After a weekend at the beach, getting brunch, and filling up the small pool on the deck, we are exhausted. Father’s Day weekend was packed but the good kind of packed. The kids insisted on getting daddy a robe which was probably a poor choice considering it’s over 100 degrees today. Speaking of, nothing spells first day of summer like paisley and a pop of red. And a babydoll dress is my go-to to stay cool. I kick myself every time I don’t wear a dress for church, like yesterday, I chose jeans. Wrong move. It was hot and sticky and I was handing out snacks, waters, and breaking a sweat! Not only does this dress have pockets but can be worn over leggings or jeans. It’s all about options. And staying cool.

Happy first day of summer!

Marc Jacobs once relayed, “To me, clothing is a form of self-expression, there are hints of who you are in what you wear.” I tend to agree. For me, what I put on or style for someone else, is always an expression of creativity and artistry. Thank God for this outlet!

Have you ever wondered what to do with all those off the shoulder dresses and blouses you’ve accumulated? I’m obviously a huge fan if you follow me on Instagram, but a bigger fan of some alternate styling tips such as pairing it with a military green vest. Viola! A super easy look that works with a little game of basketball on the deck with my 5 year old, (minus the heel, thanks grandma for the mini hoop!) and planning father’s day weekend. Now I ask you, what do you want your clothes to say about you?

Sometimes all patchwork leather needs is an all white palette and cobalt wedges.

I’m loving the LA heat wave this week and trying to remember the SPF. The kids have been begging to go to the pool, and this week’s weather makes it hard to say no. Any suggestions for pools in LA?

There are few things I love better than a dainty lace top and fluted sleeves. Here I paired it with black jeans to contrast the lace detail. I have a feeling you will be seeing more of this top. Happy almost weekend – I’m excited to be packing for our trip to Chicago!

Have you ever hiked up the Hollywood Hills? It’s so peaceful above LA – just fields, walk ways, and silence. You would never know that the concrete jungle is just below. Here I’m wearing a new favorite graphic blazer, slouchy tee, cropped jeans and can’t-stop-wearing lace up heeled sandals. Don’t judge. Get your own and you’ll do the same. Also, plan a date to jog or picnic on these Hollywood Hills and you’ll thank me later.

Anyone who knows me well knows that I stay away from too many ruffles and neon pink, the latter of which makes me gag. However, Chloè’s new line is convincing me otherwise.  That said, I do feel more like myself when I pair these white ruffles with an edgy leather jacket and versatile tan boots. This look also works with wide leg pants and Chanel flats to dress it up.

Sporting these white ruffles, I can’t help but feel more feminine and girly.  It’s all about options and using the same pieces multiple ways. And should you (or your pint sized loved one) spill salsa on your romantic ruffles, there’s always a tide stick.
