Recipe for the Easiest Apple Chips

This recipe is what I (try) to make ahead of time to make shopping trips (less) exhausting, (sort of) more productive, and (a lot) yummier. And if your kids are like mine, they take a bite out of an apple and leave it on the counter. This is what I do with the apple “rejects” without wasting. The bonus is that the kids request them daily!
2-4 apples (we use granny smith if we want tart or Fuji, which is sweeter)
3 tablespoons lemon juice

After cutting into the apples into quarters, slice thinly and place in a bowl with lemon juice to keep from browning. Take out of the lemon juice and place on a greased cookie sheet. You can sprinkle with cinnamon or leave them plain, which is what we do. Place in the oven at 300 degrees for about 15min, till lightly browned.  I tend to get them out before they get totally “crispy” simply because they cannot wait all of 15min. Either way is yummy. Let cool and enjoy.
