This coat’s color is called flame for a reason. #ithurtstheeyes

This coat is the shell to an inside-out three dollar tee, covered in dried oatmeal. The hubs has been out of town this week, so the standards have lowered considerably.  Here’s to starting a new trend, right?  Well fret not, a good shell will hide even the most regretful of spills. Because if you buy one thing this season, and its not a great bag though I can’t believe I’m admitting that, it’s a coat. Especially in the dead of winter when seat warmers and lattes are a daily savior.  This one from Anthropologie has a feminine cut and stylish faux fur stole that I love. Likewise, this flame red parka’s gold buttons and just enough faux fur pops in the sea of black puffer coats. To keep things interesting, I paired it with a nude pump whose slipper cushion sole is oh so mom friendly. <Finally> And why not make the preschool drop-off less desperate and more “can I ask where you got your coat?” Because you look your best when you feel your best. And sometimes that means hiding your favorite inside-out tee covered in oatmeal, negligent sweats and lack of mascara in Fall’s hottest take on fur and flame.
