I've been covering the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale for over 10 years, and somewhere along the way, my approach completely changed.
In the beginning, I wanted to share everything. Every page. Every deal. Every find.
Now? I only share what I genuinely love.
After a decade of shopping this sale, I've learned that the best purchase isn't always the biggest discount—it's the piece you'll still be reaching for five years from now.
You'll notice I'm passing on trendy items that don't fit my lifestyle and focusing instead on timeless staples I wear on repeat. Pieces that work whether I'm heading to a coffee meeting, church, date night with Reid, or cheering on my kids.

You don't need twenty new outfits.
The sale can feel overwhelming, but I've found that buying fewer, better pieces always wins. I ask myself one question before purchasing anything:
Will I still be excited to wear this next year?
If the answer is no, it stays in my cart.
My Shopping Philosophy
Life has looked different over the past couple of years.
Walking through Reid's cancer journey has reminded me how little joy comes from accumulating more things, and how much joy comes from being present.
I still love beautiful clothing. I always will.
But these days I'm looking for pieces that help me enjoy my everyday life, not simply fill a closet.
Timeless over trendy.
Quality over quantity.
Pieces that serve me well instead of asking me to constantly chase what's next.
