Top 5 Products You Need in Your Toiletry Bag

To those who know me, know I’m very minimal when it comes to beauty and skincare. However, using great products is no exception. This is not sponsored, just an informative post for those who asked what I use on my face and skin. All of which are stashed in my lovely Maxwell Scott toiletry bag (Reid secretly wants one too). What’s in my Maxwell Scott Toiletry Bag?

R+Co shine + texture spray (who doesn’t need radiance, shine and sea kale to wake up tired hair?) :: L’Occitane Divine Youth Oil (don’t you love the name? It smells amazing and I’m crediting my glow to this baby) :: L’Occitane shea butter hand lotion (quenches thirsty skin and the result is baby skin soft):: Le Labo parfum musty and clean :: Elizabeth Dehn Vitamin C Brightening Facial Serum  vitamin C to combat stress and leave skin glowing and even-toned.

Not pictured but honorable mention: Milo skin body brush for better circulation, NuFace facial toning device (like an at home facial) :: MUSQ face and body exfoliant (gets rid of old skin, hello new skin!) While Reid and I both complain how long my cleansing routine takes at night, I see a difference. Sounds cheesy, but when I feel great, I’m a better wife and mother. I used to think I was a 4 product no-nonsense girl until I left some of the above products at home during our road trip this summer. I was scrambling for another exfoliant and moisturizer. Summer Ruffles Under $60

If you are in search of a dress for Friday’s date night and your friend’s wedding, this dress fits the bill. I’m loving that this dress is not only under $60, but looks great with a headscarf and lace-up sandals. Its been so hot here full of that dry dessert heat that I admittedly love, but also love to hate. Nothing better than a light ruffle dress for day dates and nights out to keep cool. We’re gearing up for Fouth of July with my cousin in Laguna Beach and I not short on outfits. I quickly discovered after I did my weekly donation pile, that so many of my favorite outfits include red, white, and blue. Three things I love about this top: its linen, oversize and has a corset. I got so many compliments while wearing it for date night I had to share with you. Not to mention, I paired if with black jeans that look great with summer tops. Here are some of my faves:

Because date night is sometimes short as in we only have time for coffee and dessert, I included two dinner places and two coffee shops we love here in LA.

Nordstrom Rack Tops Under $40

Who doesn’t love a good Summer top under $40?  I’m loving this floral off the shoulder top with bell sleeves. We brought all the kids to Nordstrom Rack for some tops for me and work pants for Reid. Miraculously, we only left with 4 impulse buys and one fidget spinner. I was so proud of ourselves. We celebrated over guac, chips and burritos. If you’re on the fence, both my tops I linked below are under $40, and at that price, I’m not stressing about the green tea I spilled on them.

Date night in Omaha

One of the highlights of visiting the state of Nebraska is visiting my in-laws, and going on dates! Truth be told, we’re usually too tired after a day at the Zoo, Aquarium, visiting great-grandparents, and with our crew of 6. However, we don’t miss this this chance to go out, stress free. For this date night, I paired an under $70 fringe skirt, black tank, wrap heel, with a stripe leather bag. Comfy and chic.
