Leatherology Kress Bag (I love the interior zipper pocket and magnetic closure) Buckle flats (comfy and so chic!) // Pants use code BESTIES // Tank use code BESTIES // Hat // Stripe shirt //

Love this easy combo from Splendid. Two times a year, they have a huge sale, don’t forget to use the code BESTIES at checkout for 30% off. I’m already missing the vitamin sea in Florida. It was such a great getaway and not the usual crowds. Who else needs a matching set? Happy Friday! See below for some of my favorites from Splendid that are 30% off 😉

Happy Wednesday! The trees are starting to bud, and it’s starting to feel like spring! I rounded up some sales around the web. Go check them out!

The slip skirt is the un-sung hero of the closet. It is both flattering and feels like pajamas. Win-win.

Hi Friends! Nordstrom is having a massive spring sale! I picked up some Levi’s denim, these tall boots, and this pink polo for Reid. It’s nice that you don’t have to wait for the Anniversary Sale to enjoy savings! This is also a good time to pick up a gift for yourself or others. Hope you enjoy shopping me and Reid’s favorites below.

I get asked a lot of my jeans and I just posted these from Good American. They fit true to size. I got a 2/26, and they stretchy and flattering! I paired it with the ultimate waist flattering safari tunic in size 1.

This week we are missing my parents but loving this Georgia spring, lots of grass and country air.

Happy Wednesday!

Sandals // Jeans (size 26) // Twill Jacket (small) // Hoodie (small) // Blazer (small) // Hat

I’ve been living in comfy hoodies lately! I love how versatile they are and how elevated they look when paired with a blazer. The hoodie is cropped, so I paired it with these high waisted jeans under $30! Both of these affordable looks from Forever21 are perfect for next week’s zoom meetings or Saturday’s soccer practice. I gave my sizing below. Shop them by clicking on the images below, or use Afterpay to split up payments too. Very convenient and easy to use.

Which look is your favorite?

Thank you Forever 21 for sponsoring this post!

I’m excited to partner with Talbots for the T by Talbots line and share a little more about my personal wellness journey. I became motivated to live a healthy lifestyle when I realized how good I felt when I ate healthy and how bad I felt when I slipped into unhealthy eating habits. As a busy mom, nutrition and fitness routines have become habits in my active lifestyle not only making me healthier, but helping me feel better and giving me more energy! Therefore, limiting foods that have no nutritional benefit and staying active has been really key for us. These lifestyle habits are also a powerful influence for my kids’ training as they model what I eat and do.

Some of my daily routines are as follows:

1. Every morning I start my day with a glass of celery juice.

2. I drink plenty of water throughout the day to stay hydrated.  If not  my skin will look dull without enough H20.

3. I take liquid collagen, calcium and vitamin C supplements daily. I prefer liquid because it is 90% absorption versus 30% for powder.

4.  I fix leafy green salads with sunflower seeds, avocado, feta, olives and a lean protein, drizzled in homemade balsamic dressing.

5.  To curve cravings, I snack on high fiber energy balls between meals.  I’m sharing the no-bake recipe below.  My kids rave over these and watch out, because they disappear fast! Delicious!!!

I always look out for easy recipes packed with protein (almond butter) and fiber (chia seeds and oatmeal). Energy balls seem to fit the bill.  We can thank the chia seeds which are loaded with antioxidants, fiber, protein and are high in Omega-3 fatty acids. Eating healthy has never tasted so good.

Here’s the recipe below!

 ENERGY BALLS

1 cup of organic oats (I grind in my cuisinart)

1/2 cup of chocolate chips

1/3 cup of chia seeds

1/2 cup honey

1/2 cup almond butter, crunchy

1/2 teaspoon Himalayan salt

1 teaspoon cinnamon

Mix the above and mold into 1 inch balls. Place on a pan or plate into the freezer for one hour or 10 minutes if you’re like us and can’t wait!

How cool is this cobalt top from T by Talbots?  The pops of color, flattering shade of blue and perfect length make it a perfect pairing with this skort for errands or a neighborhood walk. I’m also loving these crop pants and zip ankle leggings for squats or lounging. Which is your favorite piece?

So many of you have asked me what to wear to a spring or summer wedding! Since spring really is right around the corner, coronavirus not withstanding, I thought I’d share a few basic guidelines I always follow when it comes to weddings.

Here are my SEVEN BASIC WEDDING RULES to looking chic and being worry-free.

Rule #1 YOU CAN’T WEAR WHITE! I know it’s the 21st century, but this rule has everything to do with the bride and nothing to do with the time of year.

Rule #2 Don’t shy away from shine! This pink silky number moves with you and is perfect for the dance floor.

Rule #3 Consider a modern silhouette. This dress’ streamlined silhouette gives off modern vibes which means you can choose playful accessories.

Rule #4  Order your dress way before the wedding so you can try it on, dance in it, walk in it and ultimately feel your best while wearing it. If it doesn’t fit this criteria, send it back.

Rule#5 MAXXX it out. Don’t shy away from a maxi dress worn with heels. I love this one from Net-a-Porter.

Rule #6 When it doubt, add a Chanel belt. People who know me well, know this is true for me. Whenever you’re facing a fashion conundrum, whether it’s a weird waist cut, lack of definition, or just general blah-ness, throw on a belt!

Rule #7 CLUTCH it.Here’s a low end option and a high end option.
Have fun! A smile is sometimes the best accessory.

The weekend is over and it’s time to get back to work. I’m working on refreshing some basics for the spring. For example, I never buy enough white tees, denim shorts, and dresses. I’ve collected some of my favorites for you below.
