I’m a big fan of a flattering one piece, enter the Kim by Montce. It is belted and chic, ready to take on the toddler, the waves or the mini bar. I love a good belted swimsuit as it is universally flattering. I recently shared some belted swim favorites in my newsletter, be sure to check it out!

I can’t tell you how excited I am that the sun is out! It has been a rainy couple of weeks in LA, and there is more to come. In the meantime, I’m stocking up on lace tops. This one doubles as a swim cover-up, dressed up with heels or dressed down with spanx leggings and a baseball cap. Which is your favorite? I feel like this gloomy weather lately is making us enjoy the brief moments of sunshine all the more! Its all about attitude right? Especially when I’m facing homework with the kids this week, so much patience, but summer is around the corner and seeing their “Ah-ha” moments are pretty special. Hope you have a great start to the week!

With jeans, I usually size down, but with faux leather leggings, I order my usual size as they normally fit true to size. These Spanx do! Showing some more faux leather leggings below:
Recently the hubby and I took to the skies for a quick trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico. It was a glorious four days of beautiful weather, a gorgeous hotel, and flat-out relaxing. As it truly was a romantic vacation (seriously, just google the place), I brought along some super fun outfits, but also a new scent. New scents always make everything feel different right? So for that date night glow, I tried Terre de Lumière, the newest scent from L’Occitane made with Bergamot, Ambrette seed, and subtle floral notes. I’d definitely say it is a more sophisticated scent, rather than flirty or floral. I’m picky when it comes to fragrances; they can’t have too much floral and must have a healthy dose of musk. Well, this fit the bill. Honestly, I’ve always been a fan of L’Occitane. Throughout high school, I always used their shea butter hand creme after my dad and I would work in the garden and that scent always brings back so many good memories. So when L’Occitane asked me to try their newest scent, I gladly obliged. Try it for yourself. It’s the perfect blend of sophistication and casual date night. For me, it is now the smell of romance, the beach in Riviera Maya, and beautiful vacation memories. It really was the perfect addition to a perfect break.
Thanks to L’Occitane for sponsoring this post!
Date night dinner plans ended up teriyaki chicken bowls a là costco. Gourmet I am not. At least I was before we had kids when I had a couple appetizer tricks up my sleeve. Alas, homemade cook, fail, but I’m winning in the shoe department. Happy Humpday!
We’re headed to Mexico today, so I’ll be wearing lots of hats in the sun by the pool. Can’t wait. In the meantime, I’m sharing my Spring uniform: cutoffs, a white cold shoulder top and flats. I’m crushing hard on hats and you should too. Here’s to some fun in the sun with hubby. Stay up to date on Instagram.

Spring break starts this weekend, so I’ll be chasing all four kids all week long, ditching the heels, and grabbing my flats. I’m loving the lace up sandal trend with cropped jeans and frays of course. Try it at home, you won’t be disappointed. Go HERE and tell me which is your favorite! Gingham is not just for picnics. It’s a fun-loving easy-to style print that I love with jeans, white pants or skirts. For example, I’ve had this beautiful gingham wrap dress in my closet forever but it was too short on me, but then in dawned on me, I could pair a fluted navy skirt underneath. Midnight styling sessions while the kids sleep really is paying off. However, the 7am alarm clock is a rude awakening. Thankfully, my in-laws arrive next week. Think lots of new fresh content and date nights. Can you tell I’m excited? See here and here how I styled gingham and shop my top 6 picks below.

I’ve been eying this top for a while and I finally got my hands on it. The terracotta color is striking and I love pairing it with a neutral bag and white wide leg pants. I also will pair it with jeans for a family ice cream date to Scoops or a blazer for a meeting. It’s all about versatility. Happy Monday!
