Nothing says Spring like a sandal and the staple that I look forward to adding to my closet every season. I like them embellished with pearls or ribbon or a comfy footbed a la Birkenstock. I’m crazy about a good pair of sandals so here of some of the cutest around the web. All of them are under $150 and both for going out and staying home. Which are you favorites?

Today I’m sharing some really simple summer staples to stock up now. I always love a white top (it looks great with jeans), a small bag, and nude sandals that never go out of style. Here’s I’m wearing flats which I’ll probably wear ever other day this summer. What are your faves?

Date night dinner plans ended up teriyaki chicken bowls a là costco. Gourmet I am not. At least I was before we had kids when I had a couple appetizer tricks up my sleeve. Alas, homemade cook, fail, but I’m winning in the shoe department. Happy Humpday!

Suede for summer makes total sense when paired with an off the shoulder ruffle top, jeans and mules. It’s an easy going outfit that doesn’t take itself too seriously. And yes, my obsession with ruffles continues, here and here. P.S. I wouldn’t be kind if I didn’t tell you the Shopbop sale starts today! Spend under $500 and save 20%, spend over $500 and save 25% with code EVENT17. Check out my top picks below. Currently I have these jeans, this tank, and this dress in my cart. Top 5 One-Pieces:

Last week, we visited the Pasadena Library and it was simply stunning. We didn’t have long to explore, but we were able to peruse the wood paneled reading rooms, awesome kid space, and old fireplaces, so much charm. I can’t wait to take Reid back there! Also, the outdoor espresso bar is a cute little destination that’s quiet and somewhat private. Definitely worth a visit. Here are 4 more places worth a visit in LA:

Pasadena Library 285 E Walnut St, Pasadena, CA 91101

LACMA 5905 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90036

The Getty Villa (huge, and don’t forget a selfie on the amazing tile)17985 Pacific Coast Hwy, Pacific Palisades, CA 90272

I’ve been eying this top for a while and I finally got my hands on it. The terracotta color is striking and I love pairing it with a neutral bag and white wide leg pants. I also will pair it with jeans for a family ice cream date to Scoops or a blazer for a meeting. It’s all about versatility. Happy Monday!

Your search for the perfect blush pleated skirt is over. Not only is this modern on-trend blush steal under $100, but it’s machine washable. No really, true story. After my toddler hugged me after playing in a backyard full of dirt, I made sure to find out. There might have been a little desperation involved. So, I know. I have plans to get a couple of outfits out of this versatile piece, such as all white, frayed denim and even sneaks! The possibilities prove endless. However, if you want a pro-stylist tip, balance the midi skirt with a fitted top, preferably knotted or slightly cropped and avoid tall boots and loose tops … all of which are at Nordstrom, of course. Get yours before it sells out.

Nothing says spring like blush and lace up. Here I paired blush with more blush in a light pink blazer and the husband’s leather jacket. I love Nordstrom’s selection of spring dresses. I always order a couple because their customer service is awesome and I can always make returns without a glitch. And this spring they have a great collection of blush and lace! Weirdly enough, I used to hate pink but now I can’t get enough of it. (Maybe it was the pink bedroom I had growing up??) Regardless, everyone needs a little pink dress (LPD) in their wardrobe this spring, and a husband who lends his leather jacket is a major plus. Shop the post below:

One of my favorite outfits since moving to LA three months ago is cutoffs and a couple layers, be it a sweater or blazer. I’ll admit it though. I’m totally on a cutoffs kick and this white pair and extra frayed pair are no strangers. Here are some of my favorites that you may or may not have seen on Instagram. Oddly, we loved the cloudy weekend since I was able to be more productive. Thanks LA gloom! Hope you have a great week!

If you haven’t heard of M.Gemi, it’s a hidden gem of a shoe company, handmade with beautiful craftsmanship in Italy and sold direct online without a middleman to keep prices fair. I bought my first pair of M.Gemi suede boots a couple months ago and was impressed right off the bat with the gorgeous presentation, right down to the personalized tag. As you can imagine, the suede boots were buttery soft and perfect. And because they’re brilliant too, they introduce a new style of shoe every Monday for those of us with obsessive shoe habits … which is probably bad for my wallet but extremely good for my shoe fetish. Speaking of, I’m obsessed with these white Proprio pumps. They are terrific with a pleated skirt or shorts and a blouse. The latter seems to be my weekend look on repeat. Many thanks to M. Gemi for elevating it. Ps. These are limited edition – so get yours before they’re sold out!
