Coffee Shops

One of my favorite things to do lately although it sounds strange, is be alone. I have so much noise going on around me from emails, to phone alerts, to yes, children screaming, to conference calls, etc, so a coffee break alone is sacred. While I’d like to say I’m menu planning here for the week, I’m not, lately I’ve been catching up on emails and planning some really fun content for you guys in the months to come. Meanwhile, this booties are from the Italian Giusti sisters hailing from the lovely land of Italy called AGL shoes and I’m pretty sure I will wear them dressed up or down and mainly just VERY often because I’m obsessed. Perfect boot for rips and knits. I also included below some great rag & bone jeans (the brand I’m wearing) on sale! Ok, back to my mocha.

Usually harsh, but happy critics, at Winsome

eightfold – insta moments everywhere you look thanks to crisp white walls and large windows. Did I mention cool graphic books? Whether you’re a mocha or matcha lover, this stop made number one.

batavia – U.S. Bank Tower, 633 west 5th St, downtown. If you’re visiting Sky Space, work downtown, or just need refreshment (and really good coffee) this is worth a stop.

dinosaur coffee Р4334 west sunset blvd. (silverlake) kid friendly, outdoor seating, great lighting, and a yummy americano. Bonus: the kids loved the muffins!

urth caff√©¬†If you’re a matcha lover, order their blended or iced matcha with boba. A couple sips, and you’re hooked.

intelligentsia¬†3922 west sunset blvd. (silverlake) I can’t leave this place without getting a “shoefie.” Granada tile makes the vibrant blue tile, and the latte is oh so good. Bring your laptop and stay for work. Love the indoor/outdoor vibes.

Hide and seek anyone?

Apparently visiting friends, staying with family and having your children in your brother’s wedding is exhausting¬†stuff. Thankfully, it is also a special time to reconnect, hence the lack of blog posts. I blame it on plain quality family time with my parents, sisters and cousins! Below are some of our favorite Chicago coffee shops for you to explore¬†and enjoy. LA bound tomorrow!

1. BOWTRUSS COFFEE ROASTERS –¬†Roscoe Village¬†– Bowtruss is our go-to before church and their ‚ÄúXO” wall will have you wishing you had one in your kitchen while you’re making dinner. This one gets #1 because it’s kid-friendly.

2. INTELLIGENTISA Wicker park РHigh on the charm scale though drinks are a bit on the small side. Yummy selection of baked goods and even the black coffee is good.

3. LA COLOMBE Wicker Park/Bucktown (right under the blue line Damen stop) РGreat location, woody yummy lattes, and a beautiful aesthetic.

4. BLACKBERRY MARKET Glen Ellyn РGo early for killer lattes, gluten free options and a cute aesthetic. Did I mention the cinnamon rolls?

5. BUZZ KILLER ESPRESSO¬†Bucktown¬†– An upstairs, wifi, and the prettiest latte art makes this one top on my list when I don’t want to work from home.
