I’m always looking for a chic Little Black Dress. It’s universally flattering and eternally classic, you simply cannot go wrong. And did I mention it’s under $100? Reid often requests simple dresses when we go out, so I was excited to find this one. I may even include a trench once the sun goes down. Happy weekend everyone!

While ‘Spring forward’ is more of a rude awakening losing one hour, Spring colors are more than welcome. Think pinks, reds, and even floral. When in doubt, pair similar tones like pink, red, mauve, with jeans. This is the perfect outfit for lunch with a friend or date night. Trust, me, you’ll be seeing more of this blush trench. See another blush look here. Happy Monday, hope you had a lovely weekend.

Your search for the perfect blush pleated skirt is over. Not only is this modern on-trend blush steal under $100, but it’s machine washable. No really, true story. After my toddler hugged me after playing in a backyard full of dirt, I made sure to find out. There might have been a little desperation involved. So, I know. I have plans to get a couple of outfits out of this versatile piece, such as all white, frayed denim and even sneaks! The possibilities prove endless. However, if you want a pro-stylist tip, balance the midi skirt with a fitted top, preferably knotted or slightly cropped and avoid tall boots and loose tops … all of which are at Nordstrom, of course. Get yours before it sells out.

If you haven’t heard of M.Gemi, it’s a hidden gem of a shoe company, handmade with beautiful craftsmanship in Italy and sold direct online without a middleman to keep prices fair. I bought my first pair of M.Gemi suede boots a couple months ago and was impressed right off the bat with the gorgeous presentation, right down to the personalized tag. As you can imagine, the suede boots were buttery soft and perfect. And because they’re brilliant too, they introduce a new style of shoe every Monday for those of us with obsessive shoe habits … which is probably bad for my wallet but extremely good for my shoe fetish. Speaking of, I’m obsessed with these white Proprio pumps. They are terrific with a pleated skirt or shorts and a blouse. The latter seems to be my weekend look on repeat. Many thanks to M. Gemi for elevating it. Ps. These are limited edition – so get yours before they’re sold out!

I’ll be honest, life has been a little nutty lately. Between homework, new places, new itineraries, tons of traffic and just today I dropped my phone in the water. Cue the tears. I need easy basics. Hence the oversize knit, cutoffs, and comfy wedges. All of the above works with my on-the-go lifestyle. Now, let me get back to my bag of rice and a prayer my phone is back to normal.

IMG_7921IMG_7745 IMG_7746One of my favorite ways to transition from winter to spring is a camel coat! I love how flattering it is with most colors. Here, I paired it with an oversize lace top from Veronica Beard and white tennis skirt. For my northern readers, a great pair of white jeans could replace the skirt. Perfect for upcoming bridal showers or brunching. Speaking of, there are so many places I want to try for brunch here in LA. Send over any recommendations. happy weekend!

Although this week consisted of nursing sick kids back to health and getting ready for my in-laws to come to town, there was something magical in the air:  new warmth and longer days. I love spring! To me, spring is synonymous with white pants although I’m better at styling them than keeping them white. Hello shout wipes! These pants epitomize effortless chic paired with a silk blouse and easily transition from church to date night before you can say palm crop top. But anything that elongates the leg, (hello nude heel), and universally flatters the skin tone, is worth keeping around. Yes? Now, we need the sequel to The Long Winter.

Cheers to spring!
