I’ve been planning all week for the Nordstrom Anniversary sale coming up, who’s excited? I did some pre-sale shopping today and I have to say, this year’s selection is better than last years. I came back home to my Lego loving bunch who make the coolest Lego houses for hours and hours of the day. I love that this outfit is still mom-friendly with wedges, comfy jeans, and a versatile top. Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: How to Shop + Plan for it

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is a great time to enjoy MAJOR markdowns on some of your favorite brands. To be honest, it’s one of my favorite times of year to not only get a peak at fall fashion (my favorite) but stock up on investment buys. It is brand new product that you can shop before anyone else. Insert happy dance. Think Stuart Weitzman over-the-knee boots, the jeans you’ve been eyeing, cashmere cardigans and cute booties. However it CAN be intimidating and even a little overwhelming, so follow along on Instagram and here on the blog in the coming weeks as I show some of my favorite looks. When can card holders shop the sale?  July 13- July 20

When is public access to the sale? July 21, to August 6

Is there curb side pick up? Yes, at select Nordstrom stores

Things to look out for:

Woman’s – sweaters, denim, boots, cardigan, denim shorts

Kids – stock up on gifts for your kids, nieces, nephews and friends

Beauty – My favorite lipsticks and bronzers for every look

Home – I love stocking up on candles for teacher gifts

I actually became a Nordstrom Card holder before my first sale a couple years ago. I personally don’t get a lot of store credit cards, but this one is a MUST, trust me. Summer Ruffles Under $60

If you are in search of a dress for Friday’s date night and your friend’s wedding, this dress fits the bill. I’m loving that this dress is not only under $60, but looks great with a headscarf and lace-up sandals. Its been so hot here full of that dry dessert heat that I admittedly love, but also love to hate. Nothing better than a light ruffle dress for day dates and nights out to keep cool. We’ve been venturing out to more neighborhoods like Silverlake and loving the vibe. Laid back, artsy, and great coffee shops. And did I mention cool vintage cars? I’m a fan. It’s starting to feel like summer so what’s easier than a summer dress? I love that its only one piece and all you need is shoes to complete the outfit. One thing I love about Nordstrom is their awesome selection, customer service and brands! I have SO many brands at my fingertips (mostly at 1am) on Nordstrom.com, from investment pieces to essential tee’s and affordable bandana’s. All of which I plan on stocking up on the latter for our road trip this summer. More on that later. Meanwhile, these white pants are completely on trend and very versatile. I’m loving everything laced-up from sweaters to high waist pants. See more of my picks below. Olive and Black for St Patricks Day

St Patrick’s Day marks our 10th wedding anniversary. How is it possible that a decade just came and went? More on that later. Meanwhile, I’m loving choker tees and this one is no exception. It’s soft, under $40, and can be dressed up or down, no necklace necessary, though I wore one out of habit. It also looks great with white denim for spring. What’s your go-to tee?
