On a cloudy day in Highland Park, we snapped some shots of three different looks. I rocked those Dr. Scholl’s original sandals in three different colors, paired with three different outfits. I was just itching for a reason to strut around in my ultra-flared flares from FRAME. What do you think? Loads of DMs and comments said they were digging the red sandals with the black jeans and leather jacket the most. I also mixed it up by pairing the white sandals with an extra-long trench and a vintage red suede skirt. Pretty cool, huh? I’m all about blending new pieces with old classics. It’s awesome how throwing in a vintage item can give your outfit that timeless vibe, don’t you think? And for the black sandals, I went all out with an all-white ensemble, channeling my inner Jane Shrimpton. Honestly, I’m stoked the rain held off long enough for us to snap all the shots. So, which look do you vibe with the most?

Happy Friday! Reid and the boys have a tee time and we’re going on a double date with another couple. I’m looking forward to it. Cue the date night outfit!

I’ve been a big supporter of the brand BARED from Australia. Have you heard of them?

Their brand is known for amazing arch support and shoes so pretty and comfortable that you can travel in them. The soles have a memory foam like construction and super supportive. Here I styled 3 of the pairs both casually and slightly more dressed up.

Which is your favorite look?

I love a good flat that will take me from park dates to date night. This blue one was IT. I was skeptical at first, but LOVE it.I got my true size and paired them with the Daphne jeans (sz 26, all cotton), and shirt by Sundays. Hope everyone has a lovely Mother’s Day! xx Shalice

pants // top (it’s 20% off today!) // agl boots similar on sale! and these // similar turquoise ring

Wanna know a trick of the trade? I’ve been a stylist for years and use this one trick when I get dressed. Here I wore stunning red pants from alice + olivia and I paired them with pointy red boots from agl.

Here’s my go-to style trick:

Wear the shoes the color of your pants for that elongated look. I get countless compliments on my pants when my shoes match my pants.  It tricks the eye into thinking the legs are longer than they really are. Did I get your attention? This works for an all camel look, monochrome white look, and if wearing jeans, style them with nude sandals or heels. It’s all about knowing simple tricks to look and feel your best.

I personally feel my best in wide leg pants, what do you feel best in?

These are under $70 // These are the one’s I’m wearing // These are $65 // These are $20!

Shopbop as you may or may not know is having their annual sale. I use it stock up on jeans, leather jackets, and cute shoes. I’m loving this one piece for Manhattan Beach days with the family, this shiny top to attend events, this leather jacket I already own and love, these jeans under $80, and these cropped jeans that feature shoes well. Also, don’t forget, its a great time to get a best friend’s Christmas gift or hubby a new leather jacket. Save up to 25% with code GOBIG17. It ends 3/4/17. What are you stocking up on?

Summer Shoes

My sister asked me recently what pairs of shoes she needs for Spring? While I could easily chose at least 10, I narrowed it down to just 5 of my go-to pairs below.

  1. CONVERSE I wear chucks up and down. Laid back chic at it’s best. Get them in every color.

2. Espadrille from ASOS (I also love these platforms!) So cute and casual.

3. Platform from FARYLROBIN

4. Black sandal by VINCE

5. A slinky red sandal is a must have – and this one by STEVE MADDEN is no exception. It’s almost embarrassing how much I wear these, but nothing beats that pop of red.

Versatility is key.
