Honestly, few things make my heart skip like this stripe and camel duo. We’re currently encountering a major heat wave so optional layering is a must! I own a million soft tanks, from white to black, soft to light weight and you should too. I like to pair the indispensable tank with striped shorts or cutoffs, a camel coat or rain jacket. If you’re looking for multiple options, this combo also works with flip flops for a BBQ on the beach or a low heel for dinner with friends.
This weekend we are off to Santa Monica, and if the kids have anything to do with it, we will stop by the beach. I’m keeping it simple with a cotton dress, sneakers (or cute sandals in blush velvet) and my trusty hat. I’ love that this dress is under $50 so the inevitable spills don’t stress me out. Back to breakfast with my crew, shop more dress finds below. I hope you have a lovely weekend!

It’s our last week of school before spring break and what a relief. While I love bonding with B while his siblings are at school, I’m super excited to let the kids ease into the morning and not have to make that 8am drive. We’re excited to welcome my in-laws, so be prepared for lots of date-nights and going-out-for-ice-cream kinda nights. I love how versatile this top is – great over leggings or jeans, tied or tucked, dressy or casual. See here how I styled embroidered jeans. Happy Tuesday!

More stripe tops I’m loving:
I won’t lie, stripes are probably my favorite print to style, and probably hands down one of the essentials every girl should own in her closet. That said, you should buy yours wisely. Here, I styled the multi stripe button down, with another stripe layer, go-to light wash Levi’s, and barely there heels to make you look longer and leaner, to balance those oh-so-essential prints. Just in time for the weekend. Speaking of, I will be in full birthday mom-mode, celebrating both my boy’s birthdays, 4 yrs, and 6 yrs. Where did my babies go? In the meantime, go see my fave stripe picks for #Nationalstripeday below.
Shop the look here or on my shop page;) Thanks for stopping by. Happy Friday!
I partnered with Sheryl from Walk in Wonderland to show two ways to wear stripes. They’re so classic and it was fun to see her sophisticated take and my ‘relaxed’ version. I met Sheryl when I first moved to LA and love hearing her adventures in and around Los Angeles with her and her husband (who shoots most of all of her work). When she’s not enjoying spicy food in and around the LA hot spots, she travels with her husband and runs the successful blog Walk In Wonderland. Which I’ll mention, is worth your time to check out. Also follow her on IG, @walkinwonderland. I’m so thankful to have met so many creative people since moving to LA a year ago that inspire me daily! See also HERE where I styled stripes. Thank you Sheryl for coming on the blog. Who inspires you?

The one item that is always on my must buy, must stock up, and must pack list is stripes. I happen to love them just as much on my six year old. Maybe more so. Paired with suede, jeans, or tough girl leather, you can’t go wrong. To be honest, sleeves are waaay to hot for NYC, but come next month we will be ready for them. So ready.
