Chloe “Susanna” Boots from Ebay  // DL1961 Jeans // Two Penny Blue Blazer // Z Supply Tee // WhoWhatWear bag // Chloe Sunglasses

I’ve been quite a fan of shopping on eBay for many years, but I recently bought one of my best purchases yet! I finally scored one of my cult favorites—the Chloe Susanna boots. After doing some research, I pulled the trigger and found them on eBay for 1/3 of the retail price. Score! I love when I get a luxury item for a steal. No guilt and great cost per wear.
Here are some tips for scoring your next luxury find on @ebay:
1/ Contact the seller – Ask any questions you might have and make that friendly connection to let them know you like their product and have a question about it.
2/ Negotiate – If it says “make an offer” do it! I made an offer to the seller of these boots and she accepted. You never know.
3/ Get specific with your search – Search by brand and specific item names such as “Chloe Susanna boots” and “Chloe boots size 40”. The more specific, the better the results will be.
4/ Patience – Be patient and check often. If you don’t see anything you like or anything in your size, just keep checking daily. You’re bound to find something!
5/ Share tips – I have found it so helpful to talk to others who love to shop on eBay too. Learning tips and tricks from others can make all the difference! So, please share any tips you have in the comments. I’d love to hear them!
Mother’s Day is one of my favorite holidays. Of course partly because I’m a mom and I love having my kids to celebrate with, but I also just think it’s important to thank and recognize the women in our lives who helped mold us into who we are. One of the ways I like to share this love with my own mom is by sending flowers. Flowers just do something to the heart that few other gifts can.
This year I decided to try 1-800 Flowers and I was shocked at the flower quality and selection for every price point. I live far away from my mom, so it’s important that I can send her some flowers to let her know I’m thankful for all she’s done for me—everything I appreciate now that I’m a mom.
That said, if you’re looking for a way to send flowers across the country or even just across town, I highly recommend checking out 1-800 Flowers. No matter what your budget is, I guarantee you’ll be able to find something your mom loves!

Click here and enter promo code 25MOM at checkout, to receive 25% off from 5/8-5/10.

Happy Mother’s Day to those who have moms, are mom’s and future mom’s, I celebrate you <3

wrap dress under $50! Fits TTS I’m wearing a small // sandals // jacket // sunglasses // necklace similar //

The season of dresses all day, every day is upon us! And let me tell you, that is amazing news for someone with a growing bump (although none of these options are maternity, which makes them even better!). I love this time of year because all my favorite brands are releasing their new dresses for summer, so the time to stock up is now!
Today I’ve rounded up some of my favorites for you guys so you’ll be ready for all the summer weddings and brunch dates on restaurant patios. Of course there’s plenty of floral options because who doesn’t love floral for spring and summer? I’m also a big fan of the wrap dress, so I’ve included that style as well. I find that it’s just really flattering on any body type.
The best part of this roundup? They’re all under $50! No need to feel guilty for this mini little shopping spree! The price point is super wallet friendly and saves enough for that beach vacation. 😉

If there’s one trend I’m ridiculously excited about right now, it’s the denim skirt. Partly because it takes me back in time, but also because it’s denim, and you all know I’m pretty obsessed with denim of all kinds. Personally, I’m not sure why the denim skirt ever left the “trendy” scene to begin with, but the distressed look and raw hems here to stay, so I’m hoping the jean skirt is too!
My go-to look when styling a denim skirt is to keep is casual. This is something I love about skirts in general. You can easily dress them up with pumps or wedges and a cute, semi-dressy top, or you can dress them down with casual footwear (hello gorgeous Hunter boots!) and an easy tank and cardigan. You can clearly see which way I went with this outfit. It’s all about balancing it out. For example, if you do go in a dressier direction, the denim of the skirt keeps the look comfortable.
If you’ve been searching for the perfect denim skirt, I can tell you this one is amazing. It’s not distressed, but it does have the raw hem, which I love. It’s from [insert brand/store] and would make the perfect addition to your spring and summer wardrobe. And speaking of spring—if you don’t have yourself a pair of Hunter rain boots, you have to grab some ASAP. They’re a staple for me.
Once you have the jean skirt, the Hunter boots and this tank and cardigan, you’re well on your way to having the foundation of a great spring wardrobe.

sweatshirt // jeans /// sneakers and similar // sunglasses

Southern California winters don’t usually allow for cute puffer coats and layers of sweaters, but that doesn’t mean we can’t still be cozy. I like to do this style with just a touch of chic – that’s the trick to dressing cozy – keep things comfortable, but adding a little something to avoid looking like you just rolled out of bed (even when you did!). Cue this amazing vintage style pullover from Bloomingdale’s. It’s chic with its colors and pattern, but at the end of the day it’s a terry sweatshirt that I can move in. Plus, I’m always into a hint of vintage – it makes things more interesting and unique.

To dial it up just a touch I’m adding these ripped black coated jeans and sneakers. The jeans are still very casual, but the sneakers add that little bit of laid back chic I mentioned. Pro tip? Find a balance. If you know your top is on the relaxed side, spice it up with a cute sneaker like I did here or a black boot for going out. If it got chilly at night, as it does here in Southern California, I’d add this coat to add a dash of glam to an otherwise sporty look.

You can find all of these pieces at Bloomingdale’s. I love shopping with them because I can get all the high fashion pieces I’m looking for along with some of my favorite brands all in one place! Have you tried Wildfox loungewear? Why am I so late to the game? See more favorites below.

I’ll be honest, I usually find it terribly difficult to shop for men, namely my husband, Reid, and my dad. Something about trying to find an item they won’t already have or an idea out of the box – whereas women are so simple in this way. Give us a bag or jewelry and chances are we’ll be happy.

But I will say, over the years, I’ve realized the key is to buying something men actually use or wear. Because at the end of the day, guys are just as simple as women (if not more), but gifts for them need to be useful as opposed to something we think they want.

Without a doubt, I always head to Nordstrom to shop for the two most important men in my life – and it hasn’t failed yet. Nordstrom makes it easy. For my dad, I treat him to basics that he forgets to stock up on for himself. Like some nicer socks or even pants – things he needs and wears daily, but doesn’t necessarily think to shop for often enough. Everything in the store is quality, so I always see my dad wearing whatever I bought him. It’s cute.

Some great basics below:

For Reid, I usually pick a couple things, send him a link at work and he lets me know if it’s a winner or not. Maybe it’s not a surprise, but hey, I don’t want to waste my time or money, you know? Why not see if it’ll work? Other times, I’ll bite the bullet and buy, say two work shirts for him in two colors and sizes and we return one. It works well as Nordstrom makes returns SUPER easy and they have all the brands Reid likes like Ray-Ban Aviators this James Perse tee, and our twinning Levi’s jackets. Nordstrom has such a big inventory that we always find something that works, pretty seamlessly too. Win-win. And I gotta be grateful for a guy who is OK with a twinning moment, right?

But more than that, I’m grateful to have found someone who makes a decade feel like a day, dinner feel like a date, the load feel only half as heavy, and twinning feel like winning. Pardon the cheesy pun.

Thank you Nordstrom for partnering on this post!

GIFT IDEAS

3 Investment buys with Nordstrom

If there are only a handful of items you buy right now for this fall, make it a luxury scarf, booties, and comfy sweatshirt. I love this outfit combination not only because it is both high and low price points, but perfect for church, outings or date night. This scarf can be worn multiple times over a turtleneck sweater or dress. I personally love it dressed down with a sweatshirt and jeans. I love how Nordstrom carries such an awesome selection of refined pieces like Burberry that I tend to gravitate to every fall season. Thankfully Nordstrom makes it easy to shop using their curbside pick-up on the website. I’ll admit I’ve used it more than once, and it basically felt too easy. I had all four kids in the car, a soccer ball, 4 scooters, a crazy day, I called the 800# while I was parked, and two ladies from Nordstrom took all the bags to my car. How easy was that? This winter, we are planning a family vacation to Vail, CO, and while I’m super nervous about skiing since it is not my gift, I’m packing things like boots, sweaters, statement scarves and this Burberry deep V sweatshirt. If I can’t ski well, at least I can dress well and attend ski school.

The It Bag

I love a bag I can wear both as a clutch and a handbag and this one from rag & bone fits the bill. Super soft, thick strap, and I’ve already used it for quick errands and day dates with the hubby. With military roots seen throughout the new rag & bone campaign, it is no secret this messenger bag is as rugged as it is chic. This 100% calf skin cross-body still holds my everyday essentials (from almonds to chapstick to my huge iPhone charger). I usually veer away from evening bags since I need lots of versatility as a mom, also known as a bag that can take the wear and tear of mom life, hello stains and crumbs. However, I think the slight stains will only add to its character. That is the sign of a GREAT bag.

Pink Cashmere

cropped jeans :: blush heels similar :: v-neck sweater :: bag

It’s crazy to think living in LA, but few things I love to wear more than anything is a comfy sweater. This one is cashmere, pink and a gorgeous v-neck. I love it with jeans or dressed up with trousers. Nordstrom carries an awesome assortment of choice rag & bone pieces beyond this awesome knit. What to look for you ask? I’m loving their tweed, gorgeous jeans (read more here), booties, and of course cashmere. I’ve gotten countless compliments on this sweater both for its shade of pink and oversize fit – perfect over jeans for that I rolled-out-of-bed-and-headed-to-brunch-kinda-chic. The look that we all secretly want, right? As for styling tips, I paired it with blush heels and clear aviators. Have you seen their sweatpants? Hello weekend chic. What’s your go-to comfy look?

I am so excited to be asked to partner with Ann Taylor again here on the blog. I was asked to choose 8 pieces and had SO much fun picking palm prints, cute ruffle tops, linen shorts and honestly, I found more than 8 pieces. As many of you know, I do not go to an office, but I’m asked often if I could style some ways to wear elevated office appropriate looks for my readers. Viola! An easy creme off the shoulder top with palm pants and white heels. You could also add a blazer to make this look more formal. The team at Ann Taylor always seem to knock prints out of the park from florals to palm prints. I’m always drawn to their pencil skirts, belted shorts and fun pants. I cannot wait to wear these for date night to boba tea, Republiqué, or a patio lunch with friends. Where would you wear your palm pants? Comment below.
