I don’t know about you but all this time at home has me a little short on inspiration. But white jeans are always a good idea, especially with summer at our doorstep, right? There is nothing like going back to the basics!

I met Sydne at an event in West Hollywood a couple years ago. I can’t even remember the one single event, but she was warm, easy to talk to and loved style! She and I quickly had a lot to talk about from her new condo renovation, to her pup, and working full time as a style blogger. One thing I love about Sydne is that she is so organized! As someone who definitely struggles in that department, it was inspiring to hear her ideas. Definitely check out her IGTV and blog! So many of you have asked where these boyfriend jeans are from, how do they fit, etc. First of all,they’re boyfriend jeans from Agolde, and they fit true to size. I ordered a 26 and 27 and ended up returning the 27 since it was too big. Since it is 100% cotton, it will stretch a little bit. I’m wearing them today for a Valentine’s Day picnic with our kids best friends. How grateful I am for good friends! Especially since moving here 4 years ago away from family and dear cousins. Off to pack up the car, kids, baby and yummy snacks.

Valentines Day is coming up and Reid and I are headed someplace warm, sans kids. We’re super excited to get away and can’t wait for an excuse to sit by the pool without an interruption. So, this Valentines Day, I’m loving bright pink ruffles (no surprise), trusty Levis, and blush ankle strap heels. If you’re unsure how to style bright and loud colors, pair them with jeans and a muted suede trench. It looks a lot more pulled together. The fastest way to the biggest impact with the littlest effort? A pop of red. If you hadn’t guessed already from my grams, this color is my secret sauce. Come fall, pair it with wine and don’t forget to layer on the denim. Some people have an immediate antipathy to red, and if this is you, take heart! There are so many shades of red out there now that you’re bound to find something that fits your coloring and/or skin-tone. Don’t write it off! If you still can’t manage it, then go check out the gobs of red accessories out there. Is it cliche to say that red is the new black? Cause it totally is.

If you’re wondering how to winterize your look without wearing a coat, it’s really quite simple. Basically it all comes down to great layers, such as a chunky knit sweater or faux fur stole, or a turtleneck and faux fur vest, and paired with great jeans, naturally. I love dresses and skirts but I absolutely will always feel my best in jeans, hands down. Since I can’t always get to the store, or it’s not worth bringing my boys and a bajillion snacks, I’ll often hit up Nordstrom online. If I’m on the fence about sizing, I order both sizes and return one. And you never need to worry about hassle because the customer service is amazing. I love how these RES Denim move with just the right amount of stretch and rips. I also have been gramming a lot of the black version of these jeans as well. (Note: fit is true to size.) Ps. Can’t wait for palm trees in the background and not snow!
