While we all know the perfect gift isn’t wrapped under the tree, but the people who sit across from us at the dinner table and love us despite all. Tis the season – for parties and sequin pants! I think we all know that moment when we stand in front of our closet trying to find that perfect outfit for the holiday party–pizzaz and wow, without Too Much or Overdoing it. It’s a hard balance, folks. And here is where the sequin pants make their blessed appearance. Sequin pants (the one’s I’m wearing are $25!) and a black bell sleeved top is a great choice for pretty much any holiday event. It’s classy and sparkly, and affordable! Throw in a statement heel, and you’re set. I’ve shown some fun options below. Off to enjoy some almond milk egg nog! Cheers!

Tis’ the season for velvet and plaid. The hottest combinations this holiday, and did I mention the skirt is $53? I’m loving it layered with a camel coat for an added neutral accent. I’d wear this to a holiday party or lunch with a friend. If this week’s weather continues, I’ll ditch the coat. Happy layering!

Since moving to Southern California in January, I haven’t wanted to leave. I mean, we moved to a vacation destination, right? However, I do plan on a short Palm Springs getaway with Reid, hopefully when my parents come visit. Fingers crossed! Here are some fun vacation essentials – a trench if it rains (in the desert of course, ha!), a crisp white shirt, stripes, and a dreamy ruffle dress.  All of which transitions nicely when you return home back to reality: school pick up and drop off, meetings, and sandy weekends at the beach.

And yes, I plan on wearing number 2, to both breakfast, school pick-up and Manhattan Beach, why not? What do you like to wear to the beach?
