It’s that time of year when I’m scoping out everything spring. I was pleasantly surprised recently to find so many good things at Walmart.com! Have you checked out their selection? There are tons of fun pieces that are super affordable, which makes it really easy to try out new trends this season. I picked up quite a few pieces and wanted to share them to give you a little peek at what’s happening over on Walmart’s website.

More wide leg pant options:

My pants, stripe tee, trench coat, and sandals are all from Walmart! Loving the pants a lot because they’re a wide leg, which I wear all the time and love. The stripe tee is a good staple that I know I’m going to get so much wear out of. As for the trench, who doesn’t love a good trench coat? They’re classic and perfect for layering up during the spring. I currently have a few of them hanging in my closet, but if you need something affordable and basic, this option from Walmart.com is definitely the one to start out with.
What are you guys shopping for this spring? Are you looking for basics or trends? Whatever it is, if you want to keep it at an affordable price point, I highly recommend checking out Walmart’s online selection – there’s a lot of really good things happening!

Nautica is an evergreen modern American classic brand for active lifestyles. Their fabrics are high quality like this plush pullover perfect for my active life as a mom. Plus, who doesn’t love a plush pullover? So cozy and practical heading into the cooler months.
And speaking of cooler months, here I’m wearing a striped pullover and red crop pants to transition to fall. It’s a perfect look for chilly mornings and evenings at Lake Arrowhead. And how cute is this neck detail and pants for that pop of red!? Whenever I add a pop of color, nine times out of ten it’s going to be red. I just love it! While you’re on their site, check out their classic children’s pieces!
So if you’re in need of some classic pieces that will carry you from year to year, I highly suggest checking out Nautica—especially if you like red as much as I do. 😉

It’s officially back to school season and I am running around like a crazy person. Any other moms feel like summer went by way too fast, but are also happy to send the kids back to school? Such a catch 22. But anyway, with this time of year comes back to school shopping and I’m looking to one of my favorite brands to get the job done—Uniqlo.

GIRLS

BOYS
boys blue stripe tee // yellow puffer jacket// boys flannel shirt and red padded vest// boys jeans (yay for a relaxed fit and elastic waist, less complaints!) // socks not pictured but pretty necessary
A note on size: I found the fit pretty true to size. The 5/6 fit my 5 year old perfectly all the way up to my 10 year old who took the 9/10 size.

Uniqlo really is a one-stop-shop for all things back to school. They’ve been around since 1984 (started in Japan—so cool!), which tells me they must be doing something right. And their prices are so reasonable. They actually design and manufacture every single item they sell, which is what keeps prices down.

Because I’m all too knowledgeable on how rough my kids, in particular, are on clothes and shoes, I’m all about an affordable retailer with good quality items! I was also happy to discover they sell baby onesies as well. If you’re looking for simple clothes at a great price-point, check out Uniqlo now! Ps. I did purchase this dress and trench to match my daughters and still can’t believe how affordable and chic their clothing is! Now, if I could only convincing Reid we need to go to Paris was just as easy. Ha!

All opinions are my own. Thank you Uniqlo for sponsoring this post!

I have some very exciting news today! I’m giving away an Ann Howell Bag! All you have to do to enter is . . .
1. Follow me and @annhowellbullard on IG,
2. Tag a friend on Instagram
3. Comment below on this post which bag you’d like. I worked with Ann back when I was living in Chicago and she had just started her business. I fell in love with her bold graphics. See my first post with her here. Such a fun flashback!
She now sells them at Anthropologie and I’ll admit, it was hard to find a favorite because they’re all so beautiful. Here I styled her circular stripe bag with a black maxi, stripe top knotted as a crop top, pink duster and pink loafers. See 8 of her styles below.
How would you style yours?

I learned in my 31 weeks into my fifth pregnancy, that in order to achieve that pregnancy chic you long to achieve, you need a couple comfy basics you can easily dress up. And dress up to the tune of a Gucci belt, stripe weekender and chic lil black and white trainers. Oh, and don’t forget the hat. I wear a TON of black and realized its really the most flattering at this point. Let’s face it, I really feel the weight of this extra 20 lbs, and feel all of my weight and width especially when I find myself stuck in between two car doors. Yikes! No wonder my back hurts! I recently tried on a light gray maxi dress and hubby even acknowledged I looked bigger in it. Complaints aside, I’m starting to think about buying more boy clothes, aka nesting, and excited to set up his room! Very exciting things to come. Don’t forget you can shop all my instagrams here on the blog – no app or sign ups required. What’s your go-to comfy basic?

Happy Wednesday!

Anchor sweater // Shorts // Striped Pants

If you feel like you want to try something a little different, like this amazing top from Nautica, but are afraid the whole nautical theme will take over your look—don’t worry! My best tip is to break it up with striped pants or solid colored accessories. Grab some red boots or simple white slides, something that adds to your outfit but keeps it balanced. An outfit like this is really versatile as well. It’s great for weekend brunches with the girls or a day date with the husband. I’m also a big lover stripes as you probably already guessed, so I don’t think you can ever go wrong with striped shorts or pants. One more tip for styling this look—add a handkerchief around your neck. Which is your favorite piece?

Above most outfits, I love layers. A good tank with a stripe button down or cardigan is my jam. These two weeks, I’ve been dropping off and picking up kids from soccer camp, so I haven’t had a ton of time to overthink what I’m wearing. Don’t get me wrong, I’m loving having the kids home and these lazy dog days of summer. We just hung out in my daughter’s room last night and chatting – all four of them. It really felt like a lazy summer which I love. So an oversize tank, fave rips, and optional layering in the AC it is. We’re dropping off the kids at VBS and going to get pho. Can’t wait. What are your weekend plans?

Hubby said to me tonight, wow you’re really obsessed with stripe dresses lately. Haha and yes, he’s so right. Blame it on the fourth of July or maybe the fact that they are super versatile and act as a closet neutral. Not only do they double as chic swim coverups but great layered with a denim jacket, white button-up or cardigan. Here, I paired it with a distressed denim jacket and red accessories. Today, we are headed to Laguna Beach and as much as I’m looking forward to the change of scenery, I’m not looking forward to the sand clean-up. Happy stars and stripes! More stripe on stripe looks here.

Thanks so much for stopping by, have a safe and fun family weekend.

Honestly, few things make my heart skip like this stripe and camel duo. We’re currently encountering a major heat wave so optional layering is a must! I own a million soft tanks, from white to black, soft to light weight and you should too. I like to pair the indispensable tank with striped shorts or cutoffs, a camel coat or rain jacket. If you’re looking for multiple options, this combo also works with flip flops for a BBQ on the beach or a low heel for dinner with friends.

The best way to get out the door is have some favorite basics on hand. I’m loving the embroidered hem on these jeans, linen blend stripes and not too high block heels. And I never leave home without a large mom bag full of snacks, heels, and a small bag.
