I get asked SO many times what to wear to a wedding and what is appropriate. I found some really cute choices below! I love a good print like this dress with a neutral heel and blush bag

peasant top and similar // flare jeans and similar // bracelets here and this one // kitten heels // sunglasses // turquoise ring

Spring is in the air and so is the pollen, so my allergies have been crazy! On a positive note, I’m loving these kitten bow heels, flares, and peasant top. All of which are versatile for spring and I’m loving each piece.

To those asking how to shop things I’m wearing, here are the easiest ways: Shop all my looks on my “shop my instagrams” tab, visit my shop page for things I’m currently crushing on, or download the free “Liketoknow.it app” and follow me “shalicenoel.” The app is so cool because you get instant links to items I feature and wear, there’s a place to “heart” your favorite items, and shop using the search engine. I use both often! I warn you, it’s a little dangerous.

Happy Tuesday!

Wanna know a trick of the trade? I’ve been a stylist for years and use this one trick when I get dressed. Here I wore stunning red pants from alice + olivia and I paired them with pointy red boots from agl.

Here’s my go-to style trick:

Wear the shoes the color of your pants for that elongated look. I get countless compliments on my pants when my shoes match my pants.  It tricks the eye into thinking the legs are longer than they really are. Did I get your attention? This works for an all camel look, monochrome white look, and if wearing jeans, style them with nude sandals or heels. It’s all about knowing simple tricks to look and feel your best.

I personally feel my best in wide leg pants, what do you feel best in?

These are under $70 // These are the one’s I’m wearing // These are $65 // These are $20!

What I’m wearing:

Anyone else hop online to get some people’s wants off your christmas list?  I got a friend’s birthday gift, my parents some slippers, myself a wallet, hubby some shoes, and the house a cheese platter. I was inspired over thanksgiving by my cousin’s cheese plate – I can’t wait to recreate it! Cyber Monday is a great time to get ahead on your shopping at discount and almost always free shipping. My kids are the type that will wear costumes ALL year long, so when Anthropologie rolled out some drool worthy costumes that are kid-tested and quality made, we jumped on it. As in, the kids asked every day if they could wear their costumes. Admittedly, my kids are on the older end of their costume selection, but were hoping baby boy can wear one of their cute costumes in a couple of weeks.

I have some very exciting news today! I’m giving away an Ann Howell Bag! All you have to do to enter is . . .
1. Follow me and @annhowellbullard on IG,
2. Tag a friend on Instagram
3. Comment below on this post which bag you’d like. I worked with Ann back when I was living in Chicago and she had just started her business. I fell in love with her bold graphics. See my first post with her here. Such a fun flashback!
She now sells them at Anthropologie and I’ll admit, it was hard to find a favorite because they’re all so beautiful. Here I styled her circular stripe bag with a black maxi, stripe top knotted as a crop top, pink duster and pink loafers. See 8 of her styles below.
How would you style yours?
Thank you Ann Howell Bullard for sponsoring this post!

I’ll be the first to admit I’ve been super tired during this pregnancy and have found creative ways to lift my mood, and keep moving so I’ve shared them below. Can you believe I have only 13 weeks remaining– but who’s counting? This sign my photographer and I found “Far better things ahead’ really spoke to me because it really is all about perspective. I’m growing this human and many more special days and memories to be made up ahead. Don’t fret! The back pain and leg pressure is all worth it when I’m finally staring at his face holding him in my hands.

Those who know we well know I LOVE salad like a crazy person. It’s true. So naturally I have at least 3 salad dressing recipes that will have you eating so much lettuce you’ll make Peter Rabbit jealous. Just saying.

Also, if you’re looking for a salad dressing to dress up broccoli or broccolini for your kids or hubby, try these first. My kids love the balsamic dressing. It stays a week in the jar but we usually use a full recipe so I always make it fresh.

Without further adieu, here’s my top 3 on major rotation, and yes my kids are FANS!

Balsamic Vinaigrette (recipe can be doubled)

Mince 2 cloves of garlic and add the following ingredients in a small jar with lid:

1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil

2 T balsamic vinegar

1 t. sugar

1/2 t. salt

Shake vigorously and serve. Store in fridge up to a week.

Oriental Dressing ( from my Mother-in-Law)

4 T sugar

1 t salt

2 t. soy sauce

1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil

6 T white vinegar

Combine in a lidded jar and shake well.

Lemon Dijon – sounds funky but so fresh and yummy!

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard.

1 teaspoon minced fresh garlic.

3 tablespoons champagne vinegar.

Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper.

1/2 cup good olive oil.

I also like this simple version: Lemon Dijon

fresh squeezed lemon //  dijon // olive oil // salt

There you have it, you can bookmark this post and share with your friends. Hope you enjoy, Let me know your favorite dressing in the comments!

Skirt weather

by Shalice Noel

skirt // shoes // trench // top similar// baseball hat

If you follow me closely, you see I LOVE denim so I’m naturally on the lookout for all the denim steals deals, and show-stopping pieces. I came across this denim skirt with ties on Anthropologie and had to have it. I styled it with a creme top, trench coat, barely there nude heels and baseball cap. The latter doesn’t take the outfit too seriously and gives it a sporty look. Thankfully, LA has warmed up, so it calls for lots of skirts and sandals, yay! Have a lovely Monday!

Here are some H&M steals below! All under $100 and most under $50!

I’m currently obsessing with the color blush. It’s perfect for spring and makes me feel refreshed. You know what else is great for spring? A trench. The jacket I’m wearing here from Alice + Olivia is like trench meets floor length blazer. It’s such a fun look for brunch with the girls or errands on the weekend.

Temps in LA are always running high, but for the rest of the world this jacket is ideal for that awkward in between weather. You know, it’s not quite hot, but it’s definitely not cold either. Also perfect for this kind of weather? Breaking out the strappy, pastel heels. I love these because of the block, which makes it way more comfortable for daily wear. And of course, the height is great for daytime as well.
