July 19, was the first day of Public Access sale. Boy, the stores were busy and it was a little crazy! Don’t be discouraged if something you loved is out of stock. They will most likely re-stock. However, there are still some items available on the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale I thought I would highlight. A reader asked me to give my top items still available so here they are! The day is finally HERE. The first day of early access to the Nordstrom Anniversary sale. I’m so excited I could pee in my pants. I love getting a sneak peek of fall offerings at discount. Makes me want to go on a big trip somewhere cold wearing all my fall clothes. Or perhaps you live in a cold area and dying to get your hands on some stylish layers. Or perhaps you’re looking for teacher and Christmas gifts. Keep scrolling and I think you will find something for everyone. I hope you are a Nordstrom Card holder and can enjoy shopping the sale early because things SELL OUT FAST. Apply for the card HERE. It helps to have first dibs on items you know will fly. Tips on how to shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

My favorite sale of the year is here. Icon and Ambassadors get an early preview to shop today at 9:30 PST and 12:30 EST. This year is a big selection I must say. Lots of goodies. But honestly, I’m most excited about the boots.

Since they did things differently this year, allowing the Icon and Ambassador levels to shop first, THINGS WILL SELL OUT FASTER THAN USUAL. Which takes me to my first tip:

BUY NOW, RETURN LATER. If you’re on the fence about size or color, my advice would be to buy it (if available) and return one if necessary. It’s more important you get the item, right?
GET THE CARD. Are you a Nordstrom Card holder? I’m NOT a fan of having multiple credit cards, but I got this one 2 years ago just for this sale. I never keep a balance and only use it for this sale. What I’m trying to say, is, it is worth it. And I get multiple $20 notes in the mail because I spend so much during this sale for you girls. Sorry Reid.

I’m loving these pj’s, this bag, and super soft pullover for colder areas that always sells out. I would size up for a roomier fit. I also picked up these ear crawler earrings in gold and this gold bar pendant for $52.

Here’s a sneak peek of what I got from the sale yesterday. I have 5 bags and I had to have curbside pick up to help me get everything in my car. Phew, that was a workout!

My approach to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this year has been to look at it as shopping strategically. It’s so, so easy to feel overwhelmed, which is why I’ve tried to break things down into categories and think forward for fall and winter. And speaking of fall and winter, there are so many classic investment pieces on sale right now for the upcoming seasons. You know, the things you know your closet needs but always seem a little too pricey to actually buy. Now is definitely the time! Sales can be a fun time to try more trendy items at a discount, but I’m definitely shopping for those classic pieces at a discount.

If you’ve been focusing on trying to create more of a capsule wardrobe, I also can’t suggest enough taking time to sift through the sale. You can snag some great everyday basics for practically any budget. Especially if you’re a mama like me and need to grab some back to school clothes for your kids or even for the guy in your life (I rounded up all of my favorites for the guys here).

Another tip for the mamas out there reading this—curbside pickup. Of course anyone can utilize it and I highly recommend it, but if you’re running around like I am right now trying to prepare for baby number 5, it’s definitely the convenience factor you’ve been looking for.

Today is public access for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! That means you don’t need a card to shop it. On may way home from the doctor, I stopped by Nordstrom. I’ve been eying this wrap and sandals, so I had to try it on in person! I plan on belting it asap over my belly bump. I’m including some faves from the sale currently available below!

Who’s headed somewhere cold to wear these layers? If you’re not the one that raised your hand, take heart, this is a great time to pat yourself on the back for buying now and wearing later. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale items are mostly fall items and they go back up to regular retail prices August 5. I love wearing sneakers and flats especially today carrying so much weight at 29 weeks! I surprised myself that I could still jump, haha! Jump on these pieces now before they sell out!
